Location: Parramatta NSW
Employment type: Ongoing full-time
Grade: $105,986 – $116,969 per annum (depending on NAATI credentials held), plus superannuation and annual leave loading, in accordance with the Crown Employees (Interpreters and Translators, Multicultural NSW) Award.

Your role

The Service Hub Translator will be responsible for delivering accurate, high-quality translating services in the relevant community language to ensure that members of the relevant ethnic community have equal access to government and non-government services.

What You’ll Do

As part of the Language Services team at Multicultural NSW, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, accurate and fluent translations to key clients. You will ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced, complex setting. Your duties include the translation of a variety of document types for clients, government and non-government agencies.

You will also manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment, communicate sensitively with diverse customers to facilitate communication, and stay up to date with industry developments to maintain compliance with current standards and codes of ethics.

What We’re Looking For

A NAATI Certified Translator, in both directions, holding both of the following certifications:
- Certified Translator Arabic or Chinese into English, and
- Certified Translator English into Arabic or Chinese.
Over five years’ experience in translation
Excellent time management skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
Ability to manage a variety of tasks and work to a flexible schedule.
