Overview
We are seeking a skilled Translator/Interpreter to facilitate effective communication between individuals who speak different languages. This role is essential in ensuring that messages are accurately conveyed and understood, whether in written or spoken form. The ideal candidate will be bilingual or multilingual, with a strong command of linguistics and the ability to interpret various dialects. Proficiency in American Sign Language is a plus.

Responsibilities

Translate written documents from one language to another while maintaining the original meaning and context.
Interpret spoken conversations in real-time, ensuring clarity and accuracy for all parties involved.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences regarding language services.
Provide linguistic support during meetings, conferences, and other events as required.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times when handling sensitive information.
Stay updated on industry trends and terminology to enhance translation and interpretation accuracy.

Skills

Bilingual or multilingual proficiency in relevant languages is required.
Strong understanding of linguistics and cultural nuances associated with different languages.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear understanding between parties.
Experience in translating documents and interpreting conversations across various settings.
Familiarity with American Sign Language is highly desirable.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in translations.
