Position Description
Stella May Contracting is seeking a Detail-Oriented Bilingual Safety & Quality Control Specialist with experience in Overhead Electrical Work to join our team.
The Bilingual Safety & Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing safety programs to create a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Safety team's Spanish/English interpreter and translator for all English language learning employees
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Provide safety training to employees on various safety topics
- Maintain records of safety training and incidents
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
- Proven experience working as a Safety Specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards
- Strong analytical skills to assess safety risks and develop solutions
- Experience in Overhead / Electrical work
- Excellent communication skills to train employees on safety protocols
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, ASP) preferred
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with calipers and precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of quality management systems (QA/QC)
- Familiarity with vision inspection systems like Calypso
- Understanding of FDA regulations related to safety
- Ability to analyze data to improve quality systems
