Distribution Ops Manager (Localization)
Onsite, LA 4x/week

- Ability to dissect workflows and make tool recommendations that lead to more efficient and effective processes.
- Must have Localization experience and understand the process of creating localized dubbed audio and subtitles.
- Requires some level of specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise
- Understand of digital content distribution concepts and technologies including EHV, TVOD, SVOD, AVOD, PayTV, Hotels, etc.
Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with production and post-production workflows and UHD, HDR, and Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos technologies.
- Ability to question the way we do things and recommend alternative solutions that drive impact for the business.
- Comfortable using various data management systems and tools (e.g. Google and Microsoft suites, Smartsheet, Airtable, & Tableau).
- Thorough understanding of data security best practices a plus.
- A personal affinity for the brands and franchises of The Walt Disney Company.
- Experience with managing high profile projects with moderate supervision (3+ years).
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications The skills needed for the Distribution OPS Manager role include:
- Familiarity with AirTable and SmartSheets.
- Knowledge of content management and content asset storage systems.
- Understanding of the localization process, including the creation of dubs and subtitles.
- General knowledge of the streaming ecosystem and how projects are launched.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Typical Day: The role involves research requests, cost estimates for servicing, planning, and project management from start to finish.
- Qualifications: Desired qualifications include knowledge of Airtable, Smart Sheets, content management, localization processes, streaming ecosystem, and strong project management skills.
- Managing the release plan, which involves sourcing assets, localization requirements, and coordinating with vendors and the media delivery team.
- Building comprehensive release plans, including timelines for asset preparation and delivery.
- Working with the servicing team to place localization orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinating with content planning to target release dates that align with territory needs and senior leadership.
In essence, they oversee the entire release process from planning to execution.
A typical day in the life of the Distribution OPS Manager involves:
- Conducting research to determine inventory for titles owned and checking the workability of assets.
- Generating cost estimates for servicing and releasing content on D Plus.
- Collaborating with the research team and servicing team to manage these estimates.
- Communicating costs and modifications to the content planning team.
- Planning and coordinating with the servicing team to check vendor status and assign vendors to projects.
- Managing and shepherding projects from start to finish, including handling emergency requests and timely fixes
