VOLKA PRODUCT TEAM / LOCALIZATION MANAGER
Taonga: the Island Farm is an adventure game on a tropical archipelago. Players travel between various islands, exploring them and taking part in adventures with fun stories and engaging game mechanics.
We are looking for a
Localization Manager to join our team to work full time in our Limassol office.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the translation processes of our web and mobile games from start to finish. Managing translation of texts from English into the game’s other 12 languages
- Ensuring proper and timely communication with all stakeholders, such as the GD team and translators
- Keeping accurate track of the localization processes and reporting progress to the Lead Localization Manager
- Serving as the quality assurance lead and ensuring the standard of the content is maintained by:
- Performing manual testing on multiple platforms following detailed instructions that will be provided to you
- Finding and reporting linguistic and UI issues
- Identifying defects, follow test plans, and verify fixes
- Ensuring that important terms are translated according to the project glossary
- Ensuring that translations follow the correct TOV based on accepted company style guide
- Using AI engines to translate texts from English into 12 other game languages, and proofread AI generated translations in regards to general appearance (i.e. tags, counters, etc. as per source text)
- Being proactive on new technology uses, such as AI for localization; writing and testing new AI prompts to make localization processes more efficient.
Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit
- You must have passion for games
- Must be proficient in both English and Russian
- At least 2 years of experience in mobile game or software localization
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, work independently as well as working on a team
- Working knowledge of localization methodologies and CAT tools
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal; with the ability to build strong relationships across cultural and geographic lines
- LQA experience.
