About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading SaaS and language services provider (LSP) specializing in localization solutions that help businesses expand their global reach. They cater to industries such as entertainment media, video games, web comics/novels, eCommerce/retail, global manufacturing, eLearning, video production, digital marketing agencies, and other LSPs.
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager - US to join the sales team. This role will focus on acquiring new clients, driving revenue growth, and supporting the Director of Sales in executing strategic initiatives across North America and Western Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Sales ManagementIdentify and engage potential clients in need of localization services and SaaS translation solutions.
Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound sales efforts.
Execute high-volume outreach via emails, LinkedIn messaging, phone calls, and voicemail.
Apply sales methodologies such as MEDDIC to close deals efficiently.
Utilize sales tools such as Apollo.io, ZoomInfo, and Salesloft to streamline prospecting.
Demonstrate expertise in video localization, document translation, and industry-specific processes.
Client Retention and Customer SuccessManage and nurture a growing book of business to ensure high client satisfaction and retention.
Serve as an account manager for service clients while overseeing customer success for SaaS clients.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report sales progress to the Director of Sales.
Strategic Sales Support & Market InsightsAssist in shaping sales strategies based on client insights and market trends.
Conduct competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry shifts and competitor tactics.
Identify emerging markets and new client segments for expansion.
Collaborate with leadership to refine sales funnels and optimize conversion rates.
Collaboration & Internal AlignmentWork closely with the Director of Sales to ensure alignment between sales, marketing, and operations teams.
Maintain accurate CRM data and provide key sales reports.
Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying challenges and opportunities in lead nurturing and closing deals.
Advanced Sales Execution & Lead DevelopmentQualify high-value leads before escalating them to senior sales leadership.
Assist in developing tailored sales presentations, proposals, and pitches for enterprise clients.
Support strategic account planning for major clients.
Enhanced Client Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with key clients through ongoing engagement.
Proactively address potential risks with key accounts to prevent escalations.
Provide first-line customer success support before involving senior leadership.
Leadership & Team SupportQualifications
3+ years of experience in sales and new business development within the localization/translation industry (LSP).
3+ years of experience in account management or customer success within the localization sector.
Strong communication skills with business-level fluency in English.
Proven track record of executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
Ability and willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in media localization services or SaaS-based translation management platforms.
Native-level English proficiency.
Familiarity with sales automation platforms such as Apollo.io, ZoomInfo, and Salesloft.
Additional language proficiency in Korean is a plus.
