We are a inspiring game studio seeking talented and experienced Localization Manager to join our creative team.
As a Localization Manager at Popiplay, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that games, platforms, and services are adapted for various markets and regions.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for planning and overseeing all localization processes to enable the successful deployment of our games in international markets
Manage relationships with outsourced translation vendors and oversee the quality of delivered work
Create localization style guides and ensure all content adheres to company style, brand and gameplay needs
Work closely with developers to generate localization assets like text files, audio files etc. for translation
Assign work orders to translation vendors, ensure jobs are completed on time and to required quality standards
Conduct quality checks on translated content and collaborate with translators on any revision requirements
Prepare and analyze localization budgets. Track and report on spent versus allocated funds
Determine deadlines and provide status updates to internal stakeholders
Liaise between translators, developers and localizers to resolve any issues/concerns
Oversee cultural localization needs - text, audio, images, names etc. for various regions
Continuously improve and streamline localization processes
Stays up to date with industry best practices and tools for localization operations
Requirements:
Degree in Linguistics or Translation / Philology Studies
Minimum 2 years of previous experience in similar job roles covering different markets
Knowledge in global market strategies, which is useful for managing localization in different regions
Understanding cultural nuances and local customs, important for effective localization
Practical experience in localization, translation management, or related fields is crucial
Proficiency in English is a must
Proficiency in one more language will be a strong advantage
Experience with Crowdin or other similar localization tools
Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS)
A deep understanding of the iGaming industry, including the different gaming regulations will be a strong advantage
