Description:The Terminology Manager on Client's Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) team ensures linguistic consistency and cultural accuracy across 40+ locales. You'll maintain glossaries, style guides, and terminology databases, collaborating with vendors, localization teams, and cross-functional partners to align Client's global content with brand standards. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and expertise in Client's ecosystem to optimize tools and workflows in a fast-paced environment.
Top 5-7 Skills:- Terminology Management: Expertise in glossary/style guide creation and maintenance.
- Localization Tools: Proficiency with in-house/CAT tools (e.g., agile systems, TMS).
- Client Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep familiarity with hardware/software/services (e.g., UI terms like "Dynamic Island").
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work with PMs, engineers, and global teams.
- Quality Assurance: Auditing translations for consistency and cultural sensitivity.
- Process Optimization: Improving workflows for scalability.
- Problem-Solving: Resolving ambiguities in emerging tech terms (e.g., AI features).
Requirements for the Role:- Native-level fluency in a non-English language (preferred).
- Experience with software development lifecycles.
- Ability to manage aggressive deadlines across time zones.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Localization, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years in terminology management, localization, or LQA roles.
- Experience with machine translation/NLP tools is a plus.
