We’re looking for a highly organized and linguistically savvy Localization Project Manager to lead a multi-language data project supporting the language expansion of client partners into new international markets.
In this role, you'll oversee data curation, annotation, and multilingual evaluation processes critical to training and improving machine learning models for voice recognition and natural language understanding. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, product, data science, localization vendors, and market experts to deliver high-quality, culturally relevant data pipelines and model assessments at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage localization workflows for data annotation, curation, and validation in multiple target languages.
- Collaborate closely with ML engineers and linguists to define guidelines and quality benchmarks for intent training data and evaluation sets.
- Work with vendors and external annotators to scale annotation efforts, ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and adherence to task definitions.
- Oversee the end-to-end model evaluation process, organizing test cases and coordinating multilingual QA efforts.
- Track timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple markets simultaneously.
- Support the design and iteration of tools and workflows that improve annotation and model evaluation at scale.
- Ensure full compliance with data privacy and security policies.
- Contribute to cross-functional discussions around market readiness, localization quality, and system behavior in different languages and locales.
Basic Qualifications
- (3–5 years) of experience in localization project management or linguistic data operations, ideally with exposure to voice, NLP, or ML/AI technologies.
- Proven ability to manage multilingual data or content projects across multiple markets and time zones.
- Strong understanding of localization workflows, quality assurance, and linguistic QA processes.
- Experience working with data annotation, curation, and model evaluation—including managing external vendors.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized and able to handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with language technology tools (e.g., annotation platforms, model evaluation frameworks, TMS/CAT tools).
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with voice assistant platforms (Alexa, Google Assistant) or music/entertainment domains.
- Basic understanding of machine learning workflows and/or linguistic data structures.
- Experience with data annotation tools, model training datasets, or evaluating intent recognition systems.
- Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is a plus
