Salary: $55,000 to $85,000 based on experience and qualifications
Are you skilled at interpreting the spoken word into American Sign Language?
This role will be primarily responsible for serving as an American Sign Language Interpreter for a federal government client.
The position is full time at the client site in Oxnard, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Translate spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa.
- Ensure effective communication between hearing and deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.
- Maintain accuracy and neutrality in interpreting, reflecting the meaning and intent of the speaker.
- Protect the confidentiality of information shared during interpreting.
- Maintain records of interpretations and other related duties.
Qualifications/Skills:
- 3+ years of experience of sign language interpretation experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and multitask
- Proficiency with the full Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
- Ability to obtain secret security clearance

Education:
- Bachelors degree, preferably in photography, visual arts, or related field.

Location:
This is a full-time onsite position. The candidate must be able to commute to the client location in Oxnard, CA.
