Position Overview:
Alliance Home Entertainment is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional workflows supporting the production and global localization of physical and digital media. This position will manage all phases of physical disc production, asset delivery, and localization efforts, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in physical and digital media production, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to drive operational excellence in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities
Workflow & Production Oversight
- Manage end-to-end workflows across internal teams and third-party vendors, covering post-production, mastering, authoring, localization, audio, menu design, and quality control (QC).
- Develop and refine innovative production workflows that improve efficiency and ensure on-time delivery.
Project Coordination & Scheduling
- Coordinate asset research, acquisition, and delivery of primary and ancillary materials in support of global release timelines.
- Schedule and track asset deliveries for international launch windows, ensuring timely completion across all territories.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Serve as a key liaison between mastering, marketing, creative, legal, and international teams to align on asset readiness and release strategies.
- Lead localization and menu versioning efforts across all global territories and languages.
Quality Control & Technical Review
- Conduct thorough QC reviews for 4K, HD, and SD feature films and episodic content, ensuring the highest standards in compression and encoding.
- Support technical evaluations of immersive audio formats and provide detailed feedback for Audio Descriptive (AD) tracks.
- Maintain current knowledge of mastering and presentation formats, including 4K UHD, HDR10, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and DTS.
Documentation & Process Optimization
- Create and maintain detailed project documentation, technical specifications, schedules, and process guidelines to ensure cross-functional alignment and operational efficiency.
- Continuously improve workflows to meet evolving technical and market requirements.
Budget & Vendor Management
- Manage purchase orders, vendor negotiations, and production budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions aligned with company goals.
- Approve and guide final Bills of Materials (BOMs) for global distribution.
Archival & Compliance
- Ensure timely delivery and archival of all physical and digital assets for long-term preservation.
- Manage international censorship compliance and support the distribution of localized and value-added material (VAM) assets.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in project management, preferably within the media, post-production, or entertainment industries.
- Strong working knowledge of post-production workflows, localization, mastering, and digital distribution.
- Proficiency in quality control standards and technical formats including UHD, HDR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field preferred.
