All district interpreters/translators work on an as-needed basis and may be contacted by individual schools for availability. Hours cannot be guaranteed.
Qualifications:
- Speaking, reading, and writing proficiency in both English and the language needed for translation, including using academic vocabulary
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass an FBI and BCI criminal background check
- Preference for availability during school hours
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Oral and/or written translations in parent/teacher meetings, which may include face-to-face meetings or phone conferences
- Oral and/or written translations for student testing
- Written translations of school communications
Location:Varies based upon need
Salary:$35.42 per hour
