Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Interpreter to facilitate effective communication between individuals who speak different languages or use sign language. The ideal candidate will possess strong linguistic abilities and a passion for bridging communication gaps in various settings, including healthcare, legal, and community services. This role requires a high level of professionalism and the ability to convey messages accurately and clearly.

Duties

Provide interpretation services for various spoken languages, or American Sign Language during meetings, appointments, and events.
Translate written documents as needed to ensure clear understanding across language barriers.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpretations.
Collaborate with clients and professionals to ensure effective communication tailored to their needs.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills while interpreting spoken or signed messages in real-time.
Stay updated on cultural nuances and terminology relevant to the languages being interpreted.

Qualifications

Proficiency in multiple languages; bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable.
Experience in interpretation and translation, with a focus on accuracy and clarity.
Knowledge of American Sign Language is a significant asset.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, with an emphasis on active listening.
Background in linguistics or related fields is preferred.
