We are currently seeking native speakers of Burmese for freelance community interpreting assignments in the Indiana area, primarily in Indianapolis, IN.
This is a great opportunity to help your community while earning extra income.
Responsibilities
- Provide consecutive interpretation services in community, legal, medical, and social service settings.
- Maintain professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality at all times.
- Facilitate communication between English and the target language with cultural sensitivity.
Requirements
- Full fluency in Burmese and English.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Reliable transportation.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Training & Support
- We offer a free orientation session for individuals who are new to interpreting.
