Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Laotian Interpreter to facilitate clear and accurate communication between Laotian-speaking clients and healthcare, social service, and legal professionals. This role requires a highly professional individual with strong interpretation skills, cultural competence, and an understanding of medical, social service, and legal terminology. The interpreter will support bilingual communication in various settings, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards such as HIPAA and maintaining the integrity of medical records and documentation review processes. Responsibilities
- Provide accurate interpretation between Laotian speakers and English-speaking professionals in medical, social work, child protective services, hospital, and legal environments.
- Facilitate effective communication during appointments, interviews, and meetings while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with understanding complex medical terminology and procedures to ensure clients comprehend their care plans.
- Support interpretation for jail visits and depositions for the Tampa and Orlando regions.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness as part of the interpretation process.
- Maintain professionalism and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse populations.
Skills
- Multilingual proficiency in Laotian and English is essential.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
