The Associate Project Manager (Bilingual Japanese/English) will support large-scale video game localization efforts. This role plays a critical coordination function across Japanese development teams, English-language translators in the U.S., and stakeholders in Europe, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of localized game content.
This is a highly collaborative, cross-cultural role that requires native-level Japanese fluency, strong project coordination skills, and comfort working across time zones and global teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Native-level Japanese (spoken and written)
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
• 3–4 years of project management or project coordination experience
• Proven experience working across cultures and time zones
• Coordinate localization workflows across Japanese developers, English translators (U.S.), and a London-based team
• Manage schedules, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple entities
• Support localization of video game content, including in-game text, packaging, and visual materials
• Facilitate approval processes for localized content and visual assets
• Serve as a primary communication bridge between Japanese and English-speaking stakeholders
• Maintain clear documentation, timelines, and status updates
• Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve workflows
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness of localization deliverables
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners
Required Qualifications
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
