Here's the problem :
Every voice on Typecast starts with a real human performer. But finding the right voice talents—the ones who can deliver that perfect creepy narrator, that versatile character actor, that warm audiobook voice—and actually getting them to trust us with their voice? That's where most platforms fail. We need someone who can build those relationships, make the right creative calls, and close the deals that bring exceptional voices to our platform.
You'll own the solution. We need an AI Voice Curator who can discover top US voice talent, earn their trust, and independently close agreements that expand our voice library with personalities creators actually want to use. You'll be the first voice curator on our US team, reporting to our AI Creative Lead (based in Korea). Day-to-day, you'll operate with significant autonomy—representing Typecast in the US voice community and making creative decisions that shape our catalog.

About Typecast
Typecast is an AI-powered platform for expressive, human-quality voice creation. We're not building another generic text-to-speech tool—we specialize in character-driven voices with personality, emotion, and performance. Every voice begins with a real performer, and thoughtful curation is what transforms human performance into scalable AI that creators love.
About You
- You have exceptional taste in voice. You don't just hear audio—you understand performance. You can tell the difference between "technically good" and "this voice will resonate with creators." You know which voices fill gaps in the market and which ones creators will actually pay for.
- You build real relationships. You've earned trust with creatives before. You know how to have the hard conversations about AI, usage rights, and compensation—and you can close agreements without hand-holding. You're the kind of person voice actors want to work with.
- You make decisions independently. You've worked in environments where you had to figure things out yourself. You're comfortable evaluating talent, providing creative direction, and representing a company without constant oversight. You communicate clearly across time zones.
- You have the experience to back it up. 5+ years in voice casting, talent management, or audio production. You've sourced and contracted creatives before. You have a network in the voice community and a track record of closing deals.
Things You'll Do
- Own the US voice talent ecosystem. Lead talent discovery, relationship building, contract negotiation, and voice launches. You'll define which voices join Typecast, how we position them to talent, and how we maintain those relationships long-term.
- Discover and close top voice talent. Proactively source performers through industry networks, studios, and events. Build trust through in-person meetings and clear communication. Navigate sensitive conversations about AI voice usage. Close agreements independently.
- Make creative calls that matter. Evaluate voice performance across tone, range, and versatility. Curate distinctive personas that match real creator needs. Provide actionable feedback during recording and iteration. Decide which voices are ready for AI modeling.
- Collaborate across time zones. Partner with our Korea-based creative, research, and product teams through async-first communication, with sync meetings as needed. Document decisions clearly and keep stakeholders aligned.
What You'll Love About This Role
- Real ownership from day one. You're the first voice curator on our US team. You'll independently represent Typecast in the US voice community and make decisions that directly shape our voice catalog.
- Fascinating work at the intersection of AI and human performance. How do you convince a voice actor to trust AI with their voice? How do you evaluate whether a performance will work as a scalable AI character? These are genuinely interesting challenges.
- Autonomy with support. You'll report to our AI Creative Lead with significant independence in sourcing and closing decisions. You'll have marketing and product teams to collaborate with, but you'll drive the US talent strategy.
- Impact that matters. The voices you bring to Typecast become the tools millions of creators use. Your curation work directly shapes what's possible on the platform.
