Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled On-Site Interpreters across multiple languages to facilitate in-person communication between non-English-speaking individuals and English-speaking counterparts. The ideal candidates will have strong command of their target language(s) and English, along with the ability to convey messages accurately and effectively in diverse face-to-face settings. This role is essential in supporting clear communication within healthcare, legal, educational, and community service environments.
We are currently hiring interpreters for St. Louis Metro, Kansas City Metro, Springfield, Columbia, Independence, Lee’s Summit and St. Charles in Missouri.
Languages Needed:
- Arabic
- Bosnian
- Somali
- Swahili
- Vietnamese
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person interpretation services during meetings, appointments, interviews, and events.
- Accurately convey spoken messages between English and the target language while preserving meaning, tone, and context.
- Collaborate with professionals such as healthcare providers, legal representatives, social workers, educators, and more.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professional ethical standards.
- Remain knowledgeable about cultural nuances and language developments to ensure accuracy.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in English and the target language(s).
- Strong face-to-face interpretation skills across various professional settings.
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Strong linguistic knowledge and attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work with diverse populations.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Previous interpreting experience preferred but not required.
