Audio Lead
The Audio Lead will be responsible for organizing and executing audio production tasks, and coordinating with global teams to help maintain an exceptionally high standard of service and quality.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-oriented career audio professional. You're familiar with dialogue production, working in a global environment, scheduling, and similar tasks related to audio production management. You're also passionate about great sound and performance, with a well-trained ear.
This person will report to the Production Manager.
What You Will Do
- Help to manage and execute English voice production for AAA video games and related projects, with high standards for quality and a near-zero defect rate.
- Help to manage and organize a variety of outside postproduction resources.
- Perform mastering, QC, and organization of complex sets of audio files.
- Design and use signal chains for mastering and SFX processes.
- Engineer / mix recording sessions on an as-needed basis.
- Participate in design and maintenance of state-of-the-art recording studios.
- Work with and support Lionbridge’s global project management team.
- Remote recording and other special projects as needed.
- Identify and address operational issues, working with the Production Manager and others.
- Other tasks as they come up! We’re a tight-knit team, and we cover each other’s backs.
To Be Successful You Will Have
- 5+ years of experience within the professional sound industry
- Deep expertise with Pro Tools and other standard audio production tools and DAWs
- Experience in dialogue editing and mastering
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to various complex situations as they arise and come up with solutions
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Fluency in common computer applications, especially Excel, and readiness to learn new ones.
- A knack for getting along with a variety of personalities, including creative people, technical people, and all of the interesting combinations that make up game teams
- The ability to stay relaxed, creative, flexible and focused when the pace gets fast
- Ability to work independently and trouble-shoot problems when they arise
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- A strong interest in the process of making video games. Experience in game development is a huge plus.
- Ability to work occasional overtime as needed
- Experience in scripting and macros is a plus
