Position Summary:
The San Francisco 49ers are seeking a strategic and creative International Video Manager to lead the expansion of our global video presence across Spanish-speaking, UK, Arabic, and emerging markets. This role will shape how international fans experience the 49ers brand through culturally relevant, high-quality storytelling.
The ideal candidate combines creative leadership with strong operational execution—setting content vision, leading campaigns from concept through delivery, and collaborating across marketing, social, partnerships, and NFL International to drive global fan growth.
This role is both strategic and hands-on, overseeing production workflows, evolving storytelling approaches, and contributing to select main-channel (English) content and additional projects as directed by the Director, Content Production.
Responsibilities and Duties:
International Video Strategy & Leadership (approximately 60%)
- Define and execute the international video strategy aligned with marketing objectives and global growth goals.
- Set the creative vision for regional storytelling, ensuring consistent brand standards and meaningful localization.
- Lead high-impact campaigns from concept through delivery.
- Oversee production of short-form, long-form, and campaign-driven content with a focus on quality, relevance, and brand consistency.
- Manage timelines, resources, and production workflows for international content.
- Support the growth and development of international video contributors and partners.
Cross-Functional & League Collaboration (approximately 25%)
- Partner with Marketing, Social, Partnerships, PR, and NFL International to align content with key initiatives, fan engagement goals, and regional needs.
- Build relationships across markets to identify growth opportunities and ensure content reflects local fan preferences.
- Serve as the central coordinator for international video efforts.
Creative Innovation & Strategic Alignment (approximately 15%)
- Oversee localization and translation to ensure cultural and regional alignment.
- Lead experimentation with new platforms, formats, and storytelling approaches across international markets.
- Stay current on global video trends and production technologies.
- Develop pilot programs and creative partnerships that expand reach and position the 49ers as a global leader in sports content.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Abilities and Skills:
- Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
- Strong passion for video storytelling, sports media, and global content.
- Deep understanding of international sports culture and regional audience preferences.
- Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

- Ability to work nights, weekends, and non-traditional hours as needed.
Education and Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in video production, content strategy, or international media, preferably in sports or entertainment.
- Strong understanding of post-production, field/studio/location-production, and non-linear editing knowledge is required.
- Strong knowledge of professional camera systems (Sony or Arri preferred), lighting, and audio equipment is required.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Audition, After Effects, Photoshop), DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro is required.

Travel:
This role is based at our 49ers office in Santa Clara, CA. 10% of local travel time, 5% of travel requiring overnight stay, and 1% of international travel are expected for this position.
