What To Expect
We are looking for a talented, AI-savvy Localization Specialist to join our team based in our EMEA HQ in Amsterdam. Tesla’s global IT Localization team manages 65 websites, across 52 countries, covering 34 languages and counting. To ensure high-quality translations on tesla.com and other digital products, we need an experienced Localization Specialist to work effectively with our LLMs, product managers, developers, content authors, local reviewers, and language services providers; creating a seamless and positive user experience for all visitors of our website.
What You'll Do
Coordinate the production (MTPE, review and implementation) of translations for web content and other digital products, e.g. Mobile app, E-mails and internal software UIIdentify and fix linguistic and market specific issues before launchRespond to language inquiries and provide instructions and visual context if neededWork with external localization vendors to manage translation schedules, quality, and procurement (pricing and invoicing)Coordinate the internal review process and maintain regular contact and keep engagement and motivation high for our 50+ EMEA reviewersDevelop and maintain key relationships with cross-functional teams (local markets, Web Content, Tech Pubs, Firmware, Legal, etc.) and regularly communicate with them to align and calibrate language, style and terminologyCreate and maintain linguistic assets (TMs, glossaries, style guides, reference material)Initiate AI based solutions to improve translation turnaround times while keeping high quality standards and lowering costsSupport in continuously improving the localization process and provide necessary training to internal and external key stakeholders
What You'll Bring
BA/BS or equivalent 4-year university degree in Translation Studies, Linguistics, Computer Science, Digital Media, Communications or similar is desirable2+ years of experience in web and/or software localizationAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyEye for detail, even under pressure Experience working with Smartling is a plusComfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
