About the Role
The Associate Local Language Marketing Manager (ALLMM) plays a key role in developing and executing marketing strategies for IMAX Local Language (non-Hollywood) titles across international territories (excluding China), with a particular emphasis on Japanese releases.
The role is responsible for the day-to-day planning and execution of Local Language film marketing, working closely with studios and distributors to implement best-in-class campaigns. This position serves as the primary liaison between studios, distributors, and IMAX global marketing teams, ensuring strategic alignment and creative excellence. The role also manages Local Language campaigns across regional IMAX and partner channels to drive awareness, attendance, and box office growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement ROI-positive, best-in-class IMAX marketing campaigns for Local Language films, leveraging owned and partner channels to drive growth in gross box office (GBO) and attendance.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with studio marketing counterparts to ensure deep integration of IMAX messaging within campaigns and elevate IMAX visibility across the industry.
- Educate new studio and distributor partners on IMAX brand differentiation and marketing processes.
- Oversee asset acquisition, localization, and brand compliance for Local Language film campaigns.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of IMAX’s long-term marketing strategy for Local Language releases.
- Influence studio and distributor partners to prioritize IMAX integration, even when IMAX screens represent a smaller portion of box office revenue.
- Manage extremely condensed marketing timelines — often as short as 1–2 weeks.
- Maximize results with smaller budgets through creative integration and strong collaboration with partners.
- Adapt and localize marketing plans effectively to meet market-specific needs and timelines.
