Mother Tongue is seeking a Transcreation/Localization Account Manager to work directly with our global clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and oversee translation of advertising and marketing copy jobs from beginning to completion.
- Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to lead account teams (with support from Account Directors).
- Identify and resolve conflicts related to the meanings of words, concepts, practices, or behaviors including client feedback after the deliveries of projects to ensure the quality of revisions and reaching out to writers to resolve linguistic queries and queries regarding the Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools.
- Check translations of technical terms and terminology to ensure that they are accurate and remain consistent throughout translation revisions. - Observe when PMs need more training or lack knowledge of process documents and escalate this to Account Directors and Head of Talent.
- Assist with training and/or overseeing new account managers including providing translation platform, Search Engine Optimization/Search Engine Marketing (SEO/SEM), Audiovisual Translation (AVT) training to new teammates and documenting processes and workflows. -
This is a hybrid schedule, 3 days working on site and 2 remote. Office location is: 211 East Ocean Blvd, Ste 100, Long Beach, CA 90802.
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Translation and Localization Management, Linguistics, or a related field, plus 2 years of professional experience as localization producer, translator, or any occupation/position/job title involving localization and translation.
- Must also have experience in the following: 2 years of professional experience managing localization projects or accounts; 2 years of professional experience overseeing multiple accounts and managing relationships with client and translator/copywriter; 2 years of professional experience performing project or account management; and 2 years of professional experience utilizing CAT tools (including XTM, MemoQ, Lokalise, or Smartling).
