This position will be located at Arrow Rock State Historic Site, 39521 Visitor Center Drive, Arrow Rock, MO. This position typically works Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break. Shifts may vary occasionally with the time of year and to meet the needs of the facility. This position will require working regularly rotating weekends, and working nights, holidays, and special events as necessary.
- Research, develop, update and provide quality interpretation programming, including living history programs, and resource management
- Assist with basic management duties related to the overall operation and visitor services
- Assist with overseeing the work and behavior of various seasonal staff and volunteers
- Staff the Visitor Center & Museum; assist the public; sell souvenirs and tour tickets; assist with cleaning exhibit cases; etc.
- Assist with planning and implementing special events
- Oversee museum artifacts collection and care of historic building and souvenirs
- Educate and enforce park/site rules and regulations

Equivalent to those typically gained by:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university can include: Park Management, Parks and Recreation, History, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Business of Public Administration or related field (Experience in parks and recreation, park or historic site operation/maintenance, cultural resource preservation, natural resource management, natural resource promotion/education, interpretation, marketing, business management, environmental education, engineering, or a closely related area may substitute for required education).
- AND 1 or more years of experience in interpretation, education, parks and recreation, park or historic site operation/maintenance, cultural resource preservation, natural resource management, natural resource promotion/education, marketing, business management, environmental education, engineering, or a closely related field
