Description

We are seeking a professional and qualified interpreter for Spanish to English and vice versa to facilitate effective communication between our clients worldwide. The interpreter will be responsible for providing accurate and timely online interpretation services in various settings, including one-on-one social and business communication scenarios, as well as meetings and conferences with multiple participants.

Responsibilities

Provide accurate and clear interpretation between Spanish and English, ensuring all parties understand the conveyed messages.
Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards as per company guidelines and legal requirements.
Manage scheduling to accommodate online interpretation services via video-conferencing or audio-conferencing software (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, etc.) as needed.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Advanced education, training, or certification in interpretation or translation from an accredited institution in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
Certification: Certification from a recognized professional interpreting body (e.g., National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators, Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters, American Translators Association, etc.) is required.
Experience: At least one year of proven experience in interpretation in a professional setting.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of cultural sensitivity and the ability to adapt to different cultural contexts.
- High level of professionalism and a commitment to ethical practice.
