I am a Brazilian Portuguese interpreter with over 30 years of residence in the United States and extensive professional experience in legal, immigration, and medical interpreting. I have worked in high-stakes environments including immigration court proceedings (EOIR), USCIS interviews, asylum hearings, depositions, and medical appointments. I am a Certified Medical Interpreter (CCHI, recertified in 2024) and maintain strict adherence to professional ethics, confidentiality standards, and HIPAA compliance.
Throughout my career, I have provided consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in both in-person and remote settings, including Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) and Over-the-Phone Interpreting (OPI).
