About

I am a professional Spanish linguist, and now also a certified medical interpreter. I love to use my passion for serving other by bridging language barriers in any way I can, particularly when it involves meeting the needs of those who are hurting.

I am a native English speaker, but I have loved the Spanish language and culture since I was a young child and spent a summer singing Spanish songs with my neighbor and her nanny. I loved understanding words my mother didn’t! Sure enough, I was learning Spanish in school, and there was no stopping me. Ultimately, I earned a master’s degree in Spanish (Second Language Acquisition), and later changed careers from International Business Administration (using my undergraduate degree in the corporate world), to practicing linguistics as a freelancer, which has given me the blessing of using my Spanish language skills on the job each and every day.
