About
I’m Giulia, an Italian Audiovisual Translator specialized in Subtitling, Dubbing Adaptation and Accessibility (Audio Description and SDHH).
I hold a BA in Linguistic Mediation Sciences (2021) and an MA in Translation (2024) from the University of Turin, which provided me with solid academic foundation. I’ve also refined my skills with courses in audiovisual accessibility and dubbing/subtitling translation at +CulturaAccessibile and TuttoEuropa Training Agency. My passion for video games led me to attend various courses focused on video game localization, a field I’m truly passionate about!
I work in Italian (native language), English, and German. Precision, punctuality, and quality define my work, but creativity, adaptability, and attention to detail are also at the heart of everything I do. I treat each project as an opportunity to show my passion for languages and my commitment to delivering the best results.
I’ve worked as a subtitler and translator for different Italian film festival, such as Endorfine and SeeYouSound, as a dialogue adapter for VideoDelta, an Italian dubbing company, and as Italian audio describer for Netflix (some titles I’ve worked on: “With Love, Meghan”, “Surviving Black Hawk Down”).
When I’m not translating, you’ll find me diving into fantasy books, wandering through the realms of dragons and wizards. My go-to genres for films and TV series are horror, thriller, fantasy, and adventure. Yes, I’m a die-hard Harry Potter fan (a Potterhead, to be precise). I also love watching anime and have been self-teaching Japanese in my spare time.
I’ve been an avid gamer since childhood, with a special love for RPGs and open-world adventures—The Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker being my all-time favorite!
