About

I am a freelance Japanese to English translator with over thirteen years in the industry. I worked as a translator/interpreter at a manufacturing plant for nearly ten years, and I have worked for both direct clients and translation agencies as a freelancer. My areas of expertise are marketing, business, official documents, and history/social sciences. In 2024, I successfully completed a book translation, a memoir of a Japanese chef working in North Korea. I passed the Level 1 (equivalent to current N1) Japanese Language Proficiency Test. As an inhouse translator, I also served roles in the Purchasing and Quality Department. I was certified as an ISO9001 Lead Auditor in 2020.
