About
Léa Arida is a certified translator and conference interpreter, for Arabic, English and French, operating in simultaneous and consecutive modes.
Ms. Arida’s areas of focus include counterterrorism, diplomatic security, civil defense, CBRN, hazmat, justice and corrections, crowd management and riot control, migration, business, economics, politics and education. She is also a certified medical interpreter specialized in Neonatal Intensive Care and Early Childhood Development, and an interpreter at the Courts.
Ms. Arida has acted from 2015 to 2018 as a lead interpreter on the US Department of State’s Anti Terrorism Assistance Program for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and has worked as an interpretation team member for the Department of Justice’s ICITAP program since 2019, as well as on the KSA Civil Defense program since 2021. She also serves as a Subject Matter Expert on translation in diplomatic security and foreign affairs for the Middle East region.
Léa Arida is a member of the American Translators Association. She holds a BA in Translation and an MA in Simultaneous Interpretation from the Lebanese University in Beirut, Lebanon, has trained at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome, Italy, and at the International Programs Office in UC Davis. She is a classically trained pianist, and a professional voice over artist and audiobook narrator.
