About
My passion and expertise sit at the intersection of health communication, innovation, and responsible technology, grounded in a deep commitment to quality. I care about building and leading localization and digital content programs that expand access to clear, accurate information through user-friendly digital experiences and measurable impact. I lead with integrity, prioritize customer success, and partner across teams to deliver results.
Over the past 15+ years, I’ve managed English-to-Spanish translation and localization programs for federal health organizations, including the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), spanning websites, databases, and multimedia for patient and professional audiences. I bring deep expertise in localization strategy, program management, translation technology, and standards-based quality frameworks. In recent years, I’ve focused on responsible AI-enabled workflows (neural MT and GenAI) that improve turnaround time while protecting accuracy, equity, compliance, and trust in digital health communication. I’m deeply interested in language industry standards and their implementation, and I actively contribute to two ISO working groups and the ASTM F43 committee.
My academic background supports this work: I hold degrees in Biochemistry and Translation/Localization Project Management, along with AI-focused specializations that reflect my commitment to lifelong learning. I’m highly organized, adaptable, and self-motivated, with strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. I stay current through ongoing training, professional communities, and hands-on testing of new tools and approaches.
