About
Over the past six years, my journey in interpretation and translation has been both enriching and transformative. I began my career as a subcontractor interpreter, working with LanguageLine and Cyracom Solutions. These roles provided me with invaluable experience, allowing me to develop my skills in real-time interpretation across a variety of settings, from healthcare to legal environments.
My time at Multilingual Inc further honed my abilities, where I tackled diverse assignments that deepened my understanding of cultural nuances and the importance of context in communication. Each assignment presented unique challenges, enhancing my adaptability and problem-solving skills.
Transitioning to CCJK as a translator was a significant step in my career. Here, I focused on written translation, which complemented my interpretation work and expanded my expertise in various domains, including technical and business translations. This role emphasized the importance of precision and attention to detail in conveying meaning across languages.
Subsequently, I joined FN Languages, where I continued to build on my interpreting skills. Working in high-pressure situations, I learned to maintain composure while delivering accurate interpretations, ensuring clear communication for clients in critical scenarios.
Currently, I am with Globo and Translit, where I serve as both an OPI (Over-the-Phone Interpreting) and VRI (Video Remote Interpreting) interpreter and translator. This position has pushed me to adapt to emerging technologies in the industry and refine my skills in virtual environments. The demand for remote services has expanded my reach and allowed me to connect with a diverse clientele.
Throughout these experiences, I've developed a deep appreciation for the nuances of language and the critical role interpreters and translators play in bridging cultural gaps. My journey has not only shaped my professional skills but also enriched my understanding of the profound impact effective communication has on individuals and communities. I look forward to continuing my growth in this field and embracing new opportunities that lie ahead.
