About
¡Hola! I got my first diploma on EN-ES Technical and Scientific Translation and Interpreting in Argentina (IES Olga Cossettini) back in 2006. Since then, I've been working non-stop as a freelance translator for different agencies and clients. I lived 3 years in Toulouse, France, where I went back to school (Université Jean Jaurès, CeTIM) and earned my European Master's in Translation (French-English-Spanish), with specialization in audiovisual and multimedia translation. Since 2017, I'm living in Madrid and learning Chinese.
My areas of expertise are the following:
Healthcare, medicine & pharma: I've been working for more than 16 years in this field for different agencies, on different kind of texts, like articles aimed at the public about diseases and good health practices (e.g. Mayo Clinic, St Nicklaus' Children Hospital); clinical research protocols, investigator's brochures, informed consent forms, specialist facing and patient facing documents, prescription information leaflets (for major laboratories like Pfizer, Merck, PPD, Novartis, AstraZeneca).
I have volunteered for Translators without Borders since 2013. After 4 years collaborating as a volunteer translator, I'm now part of the authorized reviewers team that evaluates screening tests by new volunteers. IT/Software/Technology: I've been part of the Infor translation team since 2012, and before that, I've worked on numerous projects for NetApp and other similar tools (cybersecurity, GUI text for internal platforms, apps, user handbooks, corporate newsletters, information/marketing brochures, etc.)
HR & employee training: newsletters to employees, notices, employee handbooks, safety and hygiene guides, corporate letters and videos (subtitling).
Organic agriculture, CSR & sustainable development:
I have considerable knowledge of the CSR/organic agriculture/sustainable development field, after working in-house for a certification company (Ecocert SA) for 5 months in 2016 and then as a freelancer for individual projects for them (IFS, IMO, GlobalGAP and other international standards and labels, compliance inspections, procedures, etc.)
Tourism & hospitality: I have worked in the past on a large volume of descriptions for hotels, cruise ships and resorts amenities and activities, and city tours (for example, for Hotels.com, Royal Caribbean and INPROTUR (Argentina's Instituto Nacional de Promoción Turística).
Audiovisual, arts & culture: I have a Master's degree in Audiovisual and Multimedia translation, and have mostly worked on the subtitling field (documentaries, TV shows episodes and movies), using AegiSub and MediaNext (Transperfect's online tool). I did also work on some short fiction and plays during my university courses and I am an avid reader of novels, short stories and plays.
