About
My name is Julia Uccelli and I'm a professional EN<>ES (Latin American) translator and subtitler based in Argentina.
I hold a B.A. in English <> Spanish Literary, Audiovisual, Technical and Scientific Translation from the Instituto de Enseñanza Superior en Lenguas Vivas “Juan Ramón Fernández”, a Higher Education Institution in Argentina.
I’ve been working as a translator, subtitler and proofreader for more than 3 years now for agencies and individual clients. During these years, I have done template creation, SDH, translation into LAS Spanish (Neutral), and Complex conform (proofreading), mainly for TV shows, anime shows, realities and movies. I'm highly familiar with subtitling softwares, such as Subtitle Edit or Ooona, and the most popular streaming platform’s style guides, since I've worked for clients such as HBO, Amazon Prime and Netflix.
