WHAT GIVES?
ChatGPT and the like do poor translations full of mistakes. They're still years away from coming anywhere near the perfect translations of an experienced native-English translator/editor. Deepseek, etc. can do rough first drafts fine; it's how those first drafts are heavily edited to craft polished - perfect! - finalized versions that matters.
