The Language Center is a global communications company focused on facilitating cultural understanding and empowerment for both our clients and their customers to succeed in the global marketplace. The company combines industry-specialized linguists, dedicated project management, and technology-enhanced approaches to offer services such as certified accurate translations, web localization, simultaneous interpreting, onsite and over-the-phone interpreting, DTP/printing, transcription, voiceover, and subtitling services in all major languages. We are looking for a motivated individual with hands-on Language Services management experience to oversee the day-to-day operations of our translation and interpreting services. The ideal candidate will have strong Team Building, Leadership, and Management skills with expertise in managing multilingual teams and projects. Serious candidates will be able to demonstrate excellence in customer service.
The Language Services Manager is a remote position that will report directly to the President.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Direct the overall operations of The Language Center
- Develop and implement strategy and tactics for proficient operation and growth of the company
- Guide TLC Project Management Teams through various stages of projects to ensure an accurate high-end suite of linguistic products
- Lead the team to success—using the best talents of each staff member to achieve goals
- Review and keep current the Quality Manual, Business Plan, and SOPs
- Prepare and manage the yearly budget
- Manage the Cash Flow
- Interview, hire, and train personnel as required, expanding the staff as the business requires
- Assist in creating marketing pieces for new and ongoing clients, website development, and upkeep.
- Oversee and update the PM client and vendor database
- Join industry-related groups and attend local trade shows and conferences to promote the business
- Maintain an active membership in the Association of Language Companies, the American Translators Association, including the Translation Company Division.
- Stay informed about trends, tools, and practices within the Language Services Industry
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English Spanish or other language combinations
- Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics or relevant related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role within a Language Services Company
- Knowledge of Trados and other translation management tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
To the Qualified Candidate We Offer:
