Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping patients improve their communication and swallowing abilities. Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to determine patients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide individualized therapy sessions to patients with various speech and language disorders
- Administer standardized tests and other assessment tools to evaluate patients' progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies for home practice
- Provide support and guidance to patients in improving their communication skills
- Utilize specialized equipment and technology to enhance therapy outcomes
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, including articulation, phonology, fluency, voice, and language disorders
- Proficient understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech and swallowing functions
- Excellent patient care skills, including active listening, empathy, and patience
- Ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments using standardized tests and clinical observations
- Experience working with pediatric populations is highly desirable
- Proficient in case management, including treatment planning, goal setting, and progress monitoring
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to speech pathology
