The Manager, Localization Project Management leads a team that is responsible for delivery of high-quality, linguistically accurate, and globally relevant content and product data across the Apple Online Stores, Apple Store App, and ancillary platforms worldwide. This position holds responsibility for overall Digital Commerce Management (DCM) Localization operations in addition to developing strategies for Localization workflows of the future that enable scalability while ensuring standards, methodologies, and quality controls are in place. This includes optimizing and overseeing health of the team’s internal processes, managing a localization budget, maintaining vendor relationships, overseeing worldwide capacity planning & intake, as well as reporting on utilization, forecasting, and other execution KPIs to the broader ASO management and leadership teams.
DescriptionLead a team of highly skilled Localization People Managers and Project Managers to scale the launch and maintenance of Apple online stores globally. This involves oversight and strategic planning of DCM’s Localization roadmaps through various partner and internal teams. Develop team objectives and workflow improvement plans that ensure scalability and long term excellence in delivering a flawless digital customer experience globally. Advocate and negotiate development opportunities for individual team members, including people managers, that support overall talent succession in line with long-range business goals. Build and maintain relationships with new and existing internal key partners, coordinating roadmaps with broader Retail, Marcom, Engineering and other teams across Europe, India, Asia/Pacific and emerging regions. Handle early conversations with key partners to determine technical feasibility and capacity requirements as well as provide guidance and risk mitigation for critical escalations and plan of record changes. Identify and implement innovations that embrace new technologies and methodologies in the Localization & Globalization industry with guidance from Senior Manager and Senior
Minimum Qualifications- 10+ years of working in content management for e-commerce and/or digital marketing experiences with 5+ years focused on Localization.
- 5+ years managing individual contributors and developing high performing teams.
- Expertise in managing large-scale, international digital content execution with detailed knowledge of Globalization and Localization best-in-class requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Demonstrated success implementing localization technologies like Machine Translation and Large Language Models
- Proficiency in one or more languages other than English.
- Expertise in developing Managers in addition to Individual Contributors.
- Experience with data analysis and data manipulation formulas.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Wrike to support robust intake and resourcing workflows that reflect data integrity in capacity management and utilization reporting.
Pay & Benefits- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $185,800 and $279,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
