Job Title: Localization Specialist
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Localization Specialist to manage content localization, develop strategies to support clients, and adapt to the fast-changing media landscape and emerging technologies. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality localization while maintaining the original creative intent and considering cultural sensitivities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, vendor coordination, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Relationships & Communication (20%)
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders across studio, regional, and territory teams, as well as key vendors.
- Coordinate activities between internal teams, localization vendors, and third-party clients to ensure client satisfaction.
- Communicate localization updates and operational activities to business partners.
Localization Management (50%)
- Oversee dubbing, subtitling, and title localization across various content types.
- Manage projects, review materials, and provide creative and technical direction to localization vendors.
- Develop and implement localization processes, including project briefs, creative briefs, glossaries, intellectual property management, and security.
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure high localization standards.
Vendor Management (20%)
- Assign and manage vendor workloads, ensuring timely and high-quality deliveries.
- Monitor vendor performance, update service-level agreements (SLAs), and implement process improvements.
Innovation & Development (10%)
- Develop new workflows to support evolving business models and content repurposing.
- Explore and implement new technologies to enhance localization processes.
- Engage in professional development and participate in special projects.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of project management experience.
- 5+ years of advanced experience with Office 365 (Excel, Word).
- 3-5+ years of experience with media workflows, including audio/video formats, subtitles, and pipeline delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Smartsheet.
- Fluency in a foreign language.
- Audio translation experience.
- Hands-on experience with pipeline delivery processes.

Education & Certifications:
