About the Role
As a freelance interpreter, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and professional Mandarin–English interpretation to support effective communication across a variety of in-person assignments. Your work will contribute to improving access to services for individuals with limited English proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver consecutive interpretation services between Mandarin and English.
- Facilitate clear and culturally appropriate communication in healthcare, education, and other professional environments.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the interpreter’s code of ethics at all times.
- Arrive punctually to scheduled assignments and conduct yourself in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- Full professional fluency in both Mandarin and English.
- Previous experience interpreting in medical, legal, or educational settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain impartial and composed under pressure.
- Commitment to professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality.
