Qualified candidates must be licensed in the State of New Jersey. Successful candidates will have excellent attention to detail regarding session notes and report submission, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to liaise and collaborate with professionals in various disciplines and at different levels in order to best advocate for needs of children and be willing to travel to various settings for service provision.Responsibilities:
- Provide speech therapy services to patients with communication and swallowing disorders
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Develop and implement individualized treatment programs
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- Provide case management and discharge planning for patients
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on speech therapy techniques and strategies
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech and swallowing function
- Experience in acute care settings, including ICU and critical care, is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to speech pathology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
