FotoKem is a sophisticated post-production partner providing localization, dailies, finishing, VFX, and color grading for top studio and independent features, promotion, and episodic productions. Our Engineering teams design, deploy and maintain systems, with innovative and sometimes one-of-a-kind workflows, for projects shot on virtually every camera technology, from 65mm film to the newest file-based 8K systems.
The Role
The Localization Assistant will play a key role in supporting the seamless commissioning of localization projects and ensuring the efficient distribution of assets across the company and to external partners worldwide. We are seeking a personable, motivated, and energetic candidate who will help maintain exceptional quality standards and contribute to the success of our global localization effort
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering and document client requirements; manage expectations and deadlines across multiple clients and concurrent projects.
- Update Localization tracker and prepare project notifications with accurate information to initiate production workflows.
- Liaise daily with the Localization Managers regarding the scheduling of multilingual localization projects for current and upcoming projects.
- Provide all necessary assets to outsource partners to ensure timely project start.
- Troubleshoot and resolve internal or external project-related issues.
- Receive incoming assets, save on the local network, and prepare files for delivery.
- Ensure/Oversee on-time delivery (OTD) of all client assets.
- Update and closeout database/tracker(s) in a timely manner.
- Participate in project related meetings, calls, and events as needed.
- Assist with project forecasting and resource planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the business unit.
Requirements - Experience and Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Post production experience is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills, and be detail oriented.
- Professional demeanor and willingness to support both internal and external clients.
- Must be a confident leader with excellent people skills.
- Able to work independently in a fast paced work environment, and capable of communicating issues with senior management as necessary.
- Must be flexible, personable, have a positive attitude; a self-starter with ability to think on your feet and anticipate issues before they happen.

● While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
● Duties are performed primarily in an office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, copier, etc.
● The employee may be required to lift up to 5 pounds.
● The position is currently designated as remote. The company reserves the right to modify the work location in the future based on business needs, which may include a requirement to work from a designated worksite.
● The shift is Monday – Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
