The Role
The role of Associate Manager, Localization, within the Hyatt Localization team supports the execution of Hyatt’s enterprise-wide localization strategy to ensure consistent, high-quality multilingual content across all regions. This individual partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders—including brand, marketing, loyalty, digital, consumer insights and regional teams—to triage and manage translation requests, identify localization opportunities, streamline workflows and maintain alignment with Hyatt’s brand standards. They apply linguistic and cultural expertise to help deliver content that resonates globally and enhances the guest experience at every touchpoint.
Own the end-to-end project lifecycle for various localization projects, collaborating cross-functionally with external vendors, in-country reviewers, and other internal and external teams.
Communicate regularly with cross-functional Hyatt stakeholders and translation vendors, including weekly touchpoints to ensure project milestones are met.
Support the Senior Manager and Manager in implementing Hyatt’s localization vendor strategy and management, including assisting with the selection and onboarding of new vendors and in-country reviewers, defining quality metrics and managing overall vendor performance.
Act as a key stakeholder on Commercial Services projects where localization consultation is required, including requirements gathering sessions, and functional and technical design review.
Serve as a localization subject matter expert, advising internal teams, regional offices, hotel properties and agencies on best practices for multilingual content management.
Continually identify opportunities to streamline localization processes and improve multilingual content quality and consistency across consumer touchpoints.
Implement ongoing improvements to localization workflows, establish SOPs and support evangelization of localization best practices.
Demonstrate a solutions-focused mindset, responding to stakeholder needs and addressing project escalations in a timely manner.
