Rush Translations & Immigrant Services is looking to add experienced and reliable Punjabi interpreters in the Chicago, IL region to support our clients during in-person USCIS interviews and related immigration appointments.
This role involves assisting applicants in communicating clearly and accurately with immigration officers during crucial, time-sensitive interviews.
Responsibilities
- Interpret accurately between Punjabi and English during USCIS interviews.
- Convey all information completely and neutrally.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Arrive on time and follow all appointment instructions.
Requirements
- Fluent in Punjabi and English.
- Previous interpreting experience preferred (legal, community, or medical settings).
- Strong communication skills and cultural awareness.
Schedule & Pay
- Assignments vary based on USCIS scheduling.
- Half-day and full-day bookings available.
- Competitive per-assignment compensation.
