Language Talent Pool is recruiting native-language professional video game translators with solid experience in video game localization on behalf of a well-known and reputable language services agency supporting ongoing game localization projects.
This is an ongoing account with regular work opportunities for qualified linguists who successfully complete the recruitment and testing process.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Selected translators may work in one or more of the following capacities:
- Translation
- Editing
- Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE)
Content types may include:
- In-game content (UI, menus, strings, dialogues)
- Live updates / live-ops content
- Game-related marketing materials
REQUIREMENTS
- Native speaker of Norwegian (mandatory)
- Minimum 2 years of solid, hands-on experience in video game localization
- Experience in translation, editing, and/or MTPE for video game content
- Working knowledge of memoQ and/or Smartling
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow established workflows
RECRUITMENT PROCESS

2. Pre-screening & verification
Language Talent Pool verifies:
Identity (via documentation and/or a brief call)
Qualifications and relevant video game localization experience
Rate alignment
3. Client onboarding & testing
Once aligned, qualified candidates receive a secure client application link to complete onboarding.
A service test in memoQ is assigned by the client, typically within 48 hours.
Candidates who pass the test may be considered eligible for ongoing work throughout the year.
