The Creative Operations Manager is a key leadership role within the in-house creative team, responsible for translating creative vision into efficient, scalable execution. This role oversees creative workflows, processes, and resourcing models are clearly defined, consistently applied, and continuously optimized, while managing video editors, production shoots, and a visual media specialist.
A priority of this position is AI adoption and innovation across the in-house creative team. The Creative Operations Manager proactively explores and implements AI-driven tools and emerging technologies to streamline production, expand creative capabilities, and significantly increase speed to market for campaign and ad-hoc assets across digital, print, video, outdoor, and in-branch channels.
Key Responsibilities
AI, Innovation & Enablement (Core to the Role)
- Own the Creative Services team AI and innovation roadmap in partnership with the Creative Director.
- Evaluate, pilot, and roll out AI tools that enhance:
- Video editing, motion, and post-production workflows
- Graphic design and asset generation
- Concept exploration and creative ideation
- Automation of repetitive production tasks and adaptations
- Build repeatable AI-enabled processes that allow the team to move faster without sacrificing brand integrity.
- Strong proficiency in AI prompting and implementation, including designing, testing, and iterating prompts to achieve reliable outputs, and integrating AI tools into real-world workflows or products.
- Educate and enable the team on new tools and workflows, driving adoption and continuous improvement.
Creative Execution & Speed to Market
- Partner closely with the Creative Director to operationalize creative concepts for efficient in-house production.
- Enable rapid delivery of brand-aligned creative across:
- Digital and social
- Print
- Video and motion
- Outdoor and large-format
- In-branch / physical environments
- Balance flexibility with structure to support both planned campaigns and urgent business needs.
In-House Creative Operations & Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor video editors, production resources, and a visual media specialist within the in-house team.
- Oversee end-to-end production for video and visual media projects, including planning, shoots, post-production, and delivery.
- Ensure team capacity is effectively managed to support ongoing campaigns, business initiatives, and rapid-turn ad-hoc requests.
- Create clarity and consistency in how workflows through the in-house team.
Workflow, Process & Scale
- Define, document, and maintain creative workflows that support high-volume, multi-channel output while protecting creative quality. Manage the DAM uploads and tagging.
- Establish standardized processes for creative intake, prioritization, approvals, and delivery across internal stakeholders.
- Continuously identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that improve efficiency, predictability, and speed.
- Optimize asset reuse, versioning, and localization to maximize value from creative investments.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Act as the primary operational partner to Marketing, Brand, and other internal teams.
- Translate business objectives into clear production plans, timelines, and resourcing strategies.
- Set expectations and communicate trade-offs to ensure transparency and alignment.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in creative operations, production management, or in-house creative leadership, in a corporate setting.
- Strong background in video production and multi-channel creative delivery.
- Hands-on experience evaluating or implementing AI tools within creative or marketing workflows.
- Demonstrated experience with AI prompt engineering and implementation, including building prompt strategies, evaluating output quality, and deploying AI-driven features using modern LLM platforms and APIs.
- Proven ability to build processes that support scale in an in-house environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
The starting pay range for this position is:
$109,500.00 - $146,200.00
