Under general direction, the candidate with be part of a team that handles and prepares incoming requests for patent foreign filings. The candidate will review application details for completeness, prepare forms, review documents, and correspond with clients, agents, and internal teams via email and phone (occasionally) as necessary. The candidate will also review emails and manage diaries to ensure confirmation of receipt and filing of applications and support special projects as needed while ensuring client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of the position.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work as a team member with other Foreign Filing staff in handling all foreign filing related issues.
- Preparation and review of Application details before invoicing
- Preparation and review of Power of Attorney, Assignment, Declaration and various forms.
- Preparation and review of Application details and upload of documents to instruct Agents.
- Daily Diary - Email reminder to agents to confirm filing.
- Daily Diary - Review emails against Diary to confirm the correct application has been filed, along with the correct details provided by the agent.
- Daily Email review - communicate with foreign agents/counsel, clients, and internal staff.
- Knowledgeable in patent foreign filing, specifically in PCT National Phase Filings, Direct/Convention Filings and European Validation.
Education & Experience:
- Patent Foreign Filing Experience with knowledge of domestic and international patent legal systems with 1- 3 years’ work experience.
- Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills as well as a strong work ethic with the ability to work with others to accomplish goals. Reliability and dependability are essential.
- Must be detail oriented and have critical thinking; ability to perform routine tasks and maintain concentration for long periods of time.
- Strong analytical skills and willingness to deal with and solve unique on-going situations.
- Must have excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate computer skills and working knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook. Having Salesforce knowledge is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work independently, respond appropriately to urgency, and meet deadlines.
- A willingness to assist others with courtesy and cooperation is essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, management, and support staff, as well as acting as a liaison with various internal departments and with outside agencies.
- Ability to work under pressure and with deadlines and conflicting demands.
