Accent on Languages is seeking qualified over-the-phone interpreters fluent in Spanish to work from home anywhere across the United States.

About Our Company:
Accent on Languages is a woman-owned language services company established in Berkeley in 1992. We have been dedicated to providing comprehensive language services to law enforcement agencies, state government entities, and commercial clients across 120 languages. In 2017, we partnered with Language Line Solutions to offer over-the-phone interpreting services for the Customer Care Center of the United States Postal Service (USPS).
Call Availability:
The following are the login times for the Customer Care Center of the USPS:
- Mondays to Fridays: 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM PST / 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM EST
- Saturdays: 5:30 AM - 3:00 PM PST / 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM EST
Interpreters will utilize a mobile app available on any web-enabled device, including mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers. Further details will be provided during training sessions.
This position offers flexibility, as there is no set schedule. Interpreters can log in to take calls whenever they are available within the provided hours. The more time logged in, the more opportunities to receive calls.
Screening and Training:
Candidates will undergo a background check and drug screening conducted by our partner, Language Line Solutions. Paid training and orientation will also be provided by LLS.
Applicants will be required to pass assessments for both language proficiency and interpreting protocol knowledge.
