POSITION: Korean-English Interpreter / Project Coordinator
DESCRIPTION:
This role requires a unique combination of language proficiency, cultural understanding, and project management skills to effectively bridge communication gaps and ensure successful project execution. The position consists of 40-50% of Korean-English Interpreter role and 50-60% of Project Coordinator role.
The Korean-English Interpreter for AMHS project is responsible for converting written and spoken content between English and Korean. This professional ensures that the translated version retains the content, meaning, and tone of the original material.
The individual may function as a Project Coordinator who manage, direct and lead installation of Cleanway AMHS systems and components on-site. Work with Safety to understand, communicate and enforce safety procedures for all personnel. Provide daily updates to customer via pass downs and remove barriers to facilitate progress.
Korean-English Interpreter
Translation Duties:
Translate written documents from Korean to English and vice versa, including but not limited to business reports, articles, emails, and other corporate documents.
Translate spoken language during meetings, video calls, and conferences.
Ensure that translated content conveys the original meaning and tone.
Proofreading and Editing:
Review and proofread translated works to ensure accuracy.
Cross-reference with the original content to ensure consistency.
Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams and external clients to understand the context and nuances of the materials being translated.
Provide feedback and suggestions on improving the quality and accuracy of translations.
Terminology Management:
Maintain a glossary of frequently used terms and phrases specific to the industry or company.
Update and refine the terminology database to reflect changes in business lexicon or cultural shifts.
Cultural Sensitivity:
Ensure that translations are culturally appropriate and avoid potentially sensitive or offensive terms.
Adjust content to be culturally relevant while maintaining the intent of the original material.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Interpreter.
- Fluency in both Korean and English.
- Strong understanding of cultural differences and nuances between the two languages.
- Familiarity with translation software and tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree is preferred.
Preferred:
- Experience in a specific industry, such as tech or business, can be beneficial for specialized translation roles.
Project Coordinator
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for project execution and deliverables including assuring a safe, quality and on-time installation. Supervise personnel at site.
- Read and understand project schedules, milestones and deliverables. Prepare installation working plan and schedule.
- Create and manage installation site management documents including organizational chart and contact information.
- Identify project risk to safety, quality, cost and schedule.
- Manage TD7 and contractor project teams. Provide advice and guidance to team members.
- Assure creation and adherence to installation site safety procedures.
- Adheres to the project foreman's safety responsibilities for employees and project listed on the company safety department's safety R&R.
- Coordinate and direct installation resource plans at site to meet project requirements.
- Create and manage installation quality plan and document control plan for projects.
- Liaison with customer for all installation related activities. Manage communication with project stakeholders.
- Manage project changes, take corrective action, and update project plans and documentation.
-Supports overall project manager in monitoring and reporting project health and status.
- Complete and distribute project installation reports.
- Conduct project closure. Help facilitate project acceptance and handover by completing all installation paperwork.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
Associates degree (AS) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 1-2 years of semiconductor automation experience preferred; or equivalent education and experience. 1-2 years of management experience overseeing contractors and coordinating employee activities preferred.
Other Skills:
- Site/Project management skills.
- Mechanical/electrical background
- Ability to use unique tools applicable to installation.
- Familiarity with more than one set of the following pieces of equipment operation and maintenance: Stocker, AMHS track, OHV systems.
- Ability to us Microsoft Office Programs (including Excel and MS Project).
- Ability to read and understand equipment drawings and identify parts through drawings. - Safety orientated.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual English and Korean required.
Travel:
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, projects will run 6-8 months (travels may include overseas sites). A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required. Must have or be eligible to obtain a passport for international travel.
