Job Title: Interpreter - Swahili
Location: Remote
Duration: 3-Month Contract
Hours: Part-Time, Project-Based (8 hours/week guaranteed)
Summary:
Facilitate communication by converting spoken or written content between English and Swahili. Responsibilities include:
- Translation for employment, training, HR, health services, and meetings
- Written translation, video/phone interpretation, voice recording, and editing
- Flexible schedule with weekly deadlines
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; interpreting certification a plus
- Experience: 1+ year as an interpreter/translator; must pass a 90%+ translation assessment
- Skills:
- Strong communication (English & Swahili)
- Organizational and confidentiality-focused
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual platforms (Zoom, Teams)
- Reliable internet and basic computer skills

Pay: $30.00 - $31.00 per hour
